Big Spring Seventh-day Adventist Church

Details

The Big Spring Seventh-day Adventist Church has a rich history that started in the early 1930s with a group of 48 people from several West Texas towns. The group would gather to worship in Big Spring, TX at different locations but would often meet in the town’s Community Building. On Friday nights, the Community Building was also used as a bar and would leave the building smelling like cigarettes and beer for Sabbath services. This gave the members an incentive to build their own church and by 1937, construction was completed. The Big Spring church quickly grew out of their first church building and with the sacrifice of many dedicated members including a donation of property from Mrs. L. C. Madison, the Big Spring church was able to build its current church building in 1980.

Today, the Big Spring Seventh-day Adventist Church continues to grow. It is passionate about evangelism and Bible Study and are eager to welcome anyone through their doors who is looking to form an intimate relationship with Christ.
