The East Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church is located in Edgewood, NM which is known as “the place where the mountains meet the plains”. The East Mountain Church started meeting in the late 1990’s as a group and later became a church. In 2005, the East Mountain Church purchased property off of Interstate 40 (I-40) and promptly made plans to build a new church. After two years, the construction of the church was completed, and the East Mountain members had a new place of worship. Today, the East Mountain Church has 112 members and is continuing to grow and minister in Edgewood.

Leonard Cummings or “Pastor Leo”, married Edith Vasquez in 2004 and they have four children. He is currently the pastor of the Albuquerque Three Angels Church and the East Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church in Edgewood, NM. After studying in Colombia, Peru and Greece, Pastor Leo completed his Theology degree at Walla Walla University in WA. He has pastored districts in the Texas Panhandle and in Santa Fe, NM. Pastor Leo completed his Master of Divinity degree at Andrews University in 2009. In, 2015, he accepted the appointment to serve as the ACS director for the Texico Conference. As ACS director, Pastor Leo likes to encourage everyone to take time to serve others every day by being God’s active hands and feet wherever they become aware of someone in need.
