Pastor Ruber Raul Alvarez, a graduate of Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU), brings his vibrant spirit and diverse pastoral experience to the Lubbock Seventh-day Adventist Church. Previously overseeing the Southern New Mexico district's churches, including Las Cruces Spanish, Deming Spanish, Deming, and Silver City, his leadership journey has been marked by dedication and service.

Originally from Cuba, Pastor Alvarez's family now calls California home, grounding him in a rich tapestry of cultures and experiences. His time at SWAU not only yielded academic success but also saw him serving as the influential Student Association President, a testament to his leadership.

Central to his ministry is his wife Giovana, whose steadfast support and active involvement make her instrumental in their shared mission. Beyond his pastoral responsibilities, Pastor Alvarez shines as a gifted pianist, captivating hearts with melodies while nurturing his passion for guiding individuals on their spiritual journeys toward a deeper connection with Christ.
