Description
The executive secretary serves in consultation with the fellow executive officers in support of the ministry goals and objectives of the conference. This leadership function provides specific constitutional responsibilities for preserving an accurate record of committee minutes, reporting details relating to conference personnel and operations, oversight of legal matters, and maintaining related local, union, North American Division and General Conference policies.
In collaboration with the president, the executive secretary participates in pastoral selection and appointment to pastoral service within the churches/districts of the Texico Conference. General human relations responsibility represents an additional area of service along with employee credentials, employee grievances, and retirement applications.
The executive secretary also serves on various committees, boards and advisory counsels of the Texico Conference, Southwestern Union, the North American Division and serves as the vice-chair of the Conference Executive Committee.
