It has always been God’s plan that we share the stories, and the experiences, of our lives with our children and grandchildren as a testimony of how He has been active in our journey of faith. All too often we become so consumed by the current challenges of our lives that we don’t pause to remember that God has been faithful in times past and that we can trust Him to be faithful to us as well.
This weekend is the first in a series of annual Heritage Convocations that are planned to help us ‘revisit the stories of God’s faithfulness’ as He has blessed His work in the Texico Conference throughout our history.
We will enjoy great preaching, wonderful music and the blessing of community with fellow believers. We are excited that Pastor Antonio Cano, along with his wife, Melanie and their family will be present to share their musical gifts along with memories of ‘growing up in Reserve’. We will also be blessed by the piano artistry of Molly Evans as she returns to the little town where was born.
There will be a fellowship lunch in the Community Services Building at the Reserve Church after the church service on Sabbath as well as a light supper on both evenings.
Reserve is located in a somewhat remote area and there are limited services available for lodging. There are several potential options for those wishing to enjoy the entire weekend that can be accessed online. We are praying for this special time of Family, Fellowship, and Faith.
The Texico Conference is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Texico Heritage Convocation on Friday and Sabbath, September 24-25. This convocation will be held at the Reserve, NM Seventh-day Adventist Church. This will be a special time to celebrate the ways that God has demonstrated His faithfulness to us through His blessings to our former generations.
