New Pastors Join the Texico Conference Family!

It is with great pleasure that we welcome and introduce Pastor Aaron Diaz and Pastor Marco Estrada as the newest pastors of the Texico Conference. Pastor Diaz recently began serving the district of Española Valley, Tres Piedras, Dixon, Taos, and Cañon Plaza, encompassing the northern region of New Mexico. Meanwhile, Pastor Estrada has enthusiastically taken on his pastoral duties, serving the Las Cruces Spanish, Deming Spanish, Deming English, and Silver City Seventh-day Adventist churches.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have these pastors join our Texico family,” said Pastor Lee-Roy Chacon, President of the Texico Conference. “They bring such a wonderful mix of skills, talents, and life experiences to the table. It’s clear to us that God has big plans for them, and we can’t wait to see how He’ll use them in their new roles.”

Pastor Marco Estrada is a dedicated pastor with experience in spiritual guidance, youth empowerment, and community engagement. He has served as a Religious Affairs Specialist in the Army and a Bible Worker in the Gulf States Conference. Pastor Estrada has organized events, conducted Bible studies, and led Pathfinder classes, reflecting his commitment to nurturing young minds. His roles as a colporteur and camp counselor further showcase his passion for guiding youth, instilling spiritual wisdom, and fostering resilience. Academically, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Southern Adventist University. Pastor Estrada’s mission is to impart the boundless love and redeeming power of God, offering spiritual armor to youth navigating life’s challenges.

Pastor Aaron Diaz brings dynamic leadership experience, demonstrating a commitment to spiritual guidance and community engagement. His background includes roles where he provided spiritual support, coordinated diverse programs, and facilitated community outreach initiatives. With a passion to guide individuals to Christ and make disciples, Pastor Diaz excels in teaching, preaching, and leading small groups. His commitment to community outreach is evident through his work in organizing youth retreats, conducting impactful Bible studies, and engaging in church planting efforts. Pastor Diaz is also a talented musician proficient in guitar, trombone, and piano, adding a creative dimension to his ministry.

Previously, as the recreational and social activities director for FESJA Texico, he helped plan large-scale youth events and mentored students on important life issues. While attending Airport Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church in Santa Fe, NM, he served as Church Elder, Youth Ministry Director, and Pathfinder Director.

Pastor Diaz’s journey also includes roles as Pastor Assistant in Mexico, where he conducted evangelistic events, delivered sermons, and provided pastoral care in various settings. Pastor Diaz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from The University of Montemorelos and prior studies at The University of Navojoa. His proficiency in Spanish and English enhances his ability to connect and minister effectively across cultural and linguistic boundaries. Pastor Diaz’s personal mission is to nurture disciples and advance God’s kingdom with unwavering devotion.

The Texico Conference is grateful that God led Pastor Estrada and Pastor Diaz to our territory and looks forward to the blessings that God will impart through their ministry.
