Online communities have never been more important. When stay-at-home orders were issued early last year, several Texico Conference pastors teamed up to present the Sabbath School lesson on Zoom. Once the quarter ended, Pastors Isaà RamÃrez and Joel Navarro began exploring what they could do next. They both shared an interest to venture into podcasting and after praying, learning, and being inspired by their own personal needs, they decided to team up and launch “Rediscovering Humanityâ€.Â
“We are all on the same journey to re-discovering what it means to be God’s creation and to live as such,†said Pastor Navarro. “My hope is that this podcast will be seen as an invitation to join us in our own personal journey and hopefully listeners will benefit from both the content and the community that comes out of it.”
Pastors RamÃrez and Navarro share host responsibilities, but they plan to include guests that will contribute different perspectives to the topic of the conversation. Episodes so far have included special speakers Tiago Arrais, Pastor of Advent Life Church in Santa Fe, NM, Buster Swoopes, Theology Professor at Southwestern Adventist University, and Josh Ramirez, District Pastor in the Texico Conference.
“We all have to reevaluate our opinions and perspectives of the world around us every now and then. My hope is that this podcast will nudge us into rediscovering what it means to be human,†said Pastor RamÃrez. “We hope that the thought-provoking conversations will help our listeners experience the impact that the Gospel of Jesus can have in their lives.”
