CORRALES, N.M. – It is with great pleasure that we welcome and introduce Pastor Tiago Arrais and Pastor Saul Flores as the newest pastors of the Texico Conference. Pastor Arrais recently started serving the Santa Fe Rabbit Road/Rancho Viejo Churches and the Los Alamos Company. Meanwhile Pastor Flores was welcomed to the Albuquerque North Valley and La Roca Spanish Churches in January.
“Together these pastors bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to their positions and we are thrilled to welcome them into the Texico family,†said Texico Conference President Lee-Roy Chacon.
Pastor Tiago Arrais completed a master’s and doctoral degree in religion at Andrews University. Most recently, he served as a religion teacher at São Paulo Adventist University in Brazil. During his time there, Pastor Arrais reached out to many of his non-Adventist students and developed creative approaches to minister to them. Through his experiences in teaching, he came to understand that it is not music, or new methods of “doing church†that lead people to God. In addition to his teaching experience, Pastor Arrais is an accomplished musician in Brazil. He forms part of a duo with his brother Pastor Andre Arrais who is the pastor of Corrales Seventh-day Adventist Church. He is married to Paula and has two young children.
Pastor Saul Flores is a graduate of Montemorelos University. Upon graduating he moved to the U.S. and served as a pastor in several churches across the country. Most recently, Pastor Flores was the senior pastor of Little York Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church in Houston, TX. Pastor Flores enjoys working in community service, Pathfinders and working with youth. His wife Maria Teresa Flores shares his passions and loves working in Children’s Ministry and Women’s Ministry. Pastor Flores and Maria Teresa are proud parents of two young adults.
We are grateful that God led Pastor Arrais and Pastor Flores to the Texico Conference and we look forward to working with them and anticipate the blessings that God will bestow through their ministry.
