The Amarillo Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church is committed to opening a new church school in the fall of 2022. Church members have recognized the need for spiritual values to be included in their kid’s education and are excited about launching a new Adventist school in their community.
The church has chosen a committee to research the needs of the school and has met with Texico’s Education Superintendent, Derral Reeve for assistance in facilitating the process. They are currently preparing to choose a school board and are also assessing the financial requirements to start the school. The committee is also evaluating the initial enrollment projections to determine staffing needs, the number of school rooms, play areas, and teacher work areas.
The Amarillo Spanish church is excited about this project and has started to raise the initial $10,000 to establish the minimum reserve fund to meet the Texico Conference requirement to start a new school. The church is expecting to have everything ready to present their application to the Texico Conference K-12 Board of Education at their October meeting. With God’s guidance and blessing, the Amarillo Spanish Church is looking forward to making these plans a reality as they open their new school in August of 2022!
