Ricardo Castro

Pastor Ricardo Castro’s ministry journey reflects a steadfast commitment to evangelism, mission work, and building community ties across diverse environments. Born on January 12, 1972, in East Los Angeles, California, he faced early challenges with local gangs, prompting his family to relocate from California to Mexico when he was 11.

His upbringing laid the foundation for his calling as a pastor and evangelist. After completing high school in Mexico, his family returned to the United States. Pastor Castro earned his bachelor’s degree in theology from Linda Vista University in 2009, deepening his understanding of scripture and feeling a growing passion for spreading the Gospel. He pursued a Master of Divinity degree at Andrews University.

Post-education, Pastor Castro’s ministry journey took him across the United States, making a significant impact in every community he served. Serving as a Bible Worker in Georgia, Florida, and Texas, he honed his preaching, teaching, and outreach skills. In 2014, he became pastor for the Pittsburgh-Erie district, leading his congregation while establishing the first Hispanic group in Pittsburgh during his tenure until April 2016. From June 2016 to April 2020, Pastor Castro served the Texico Conference, pastoring the Espanola, Dixon, and Taos district. He focused on community missionary work, evangelistic campaigns, and engagement with local schools, showcasing his versatility in ministry.

Known for his heart for discipleship, Pastor Castro fosters strong bonds within his congregations, guided by a genuine and caring leadership style. Currently, he ministers to the Belen, Los Lunas, Socorro, and Truth or Consequences district, with his wife Miriam, a psychologist, serving as an integral partner in ministry. They have two children, Ruth and Jaasiel, aged 11 and 9.
