The Texico Conference was pleased to welcome the Bloomfield Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church into its sisterhood of churches. In 2023, a vote was taken to accept the Bloomfield church officially changing their church affiliation from the Rocky Mountain Conference to the Texico Conference.
Bloomfield, NM is in San Juan County, which is the northwestern-most county in New Mexico. It is the only county in New Mexico that did not become a part of the Texico Conference when it was established in 1916. Instead, San Juan County became a part of the Inter-Mountain Conference that same year. It was believed that the churches located in San Juan County would be better served by the proximity of the Inter-Mountain Conference. At the time, the Texico Conference office was on the eastern part of the state, in Clovis, NM. In 1932, the Inter-Mountain Conference was dissolved and united with the Colorado Conference which later merged with the Wyoming Conference to become what is now the Rocky Mountain Conference.
With changes to the area’s demographics, ease of transportation and the Texico Conference offices now centrally located, the Bloomfield Spanish began to discuss the possibility of becoming a part of the Texico Conference in 2022. Now that they are officially part of Texico, and the only church in San Juan County to belong to this Conference, Bloomfield Spanish is looking forward to being a part of Texico’s events, trainings, and fellowshipping with other Spanish churches nearby. Bloomfield joins the Albuquerque North Valley Spanish and Albuquerque La Roca Spanish Church district and will be led by Pastor Saul Flores and Pastor Joslen Lache.
The Bloomfield Spanish church is a friendly church that shares enthusiasm for evangelism, Bible studies and enjoys serving its community. We are thrilled that they are joining with our conference.

Pastor Joslen Lache is a graduate of Southern Adventist University. Upon graduating he moved to the Carolina Conference as a district pastor and Associate Volunteer Lay Pastor Director for Hispanic Ministries. Pastor Lache is now serving as Associate Pastor of the Albuquerque North Valley, Albuquerque La Roca and the Bloomfield Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Churches. He is the first to serve as an Associate Pastor in a Spanish district in the Texico Conference.
Pastor Lache is happily married to his lifelong partner, and best friend, Ana Lache. Both were born on the island of Cuba and grew up in New Jersey and Florida respectively. They have been married and serving together in ministry for almost two years and, in
2022, God brought a wonderful addition to their lives through the birth of their daughter Angelina Lucia.
The Lache’s love God’s creation and enjoy the daily company of two cats and a dog.
Pastor Joslen and Ana work as a team and they share a deep passion to help those who struggle in our society. Through their music and street outreach they want to connect with those in need of God so they may know that Jesus is accepting of all.
